Elodie Grethen presents “Tokyo Stories” / Cultural Forum Paris

Festival of Emerging European Photography - CIRCULATION(S)

The exhibition “Tokyo Stories” by Elodie Grethen, WCCF Artist of the Month January 2021, will be featured in this year’s edition of the CIRCULATION(S) Festival.
The CIRCULATION(S) Festival is dedicated to emerging photography in Europe. Each year, the CENTQUATRE-PARIS and other locations in France and abroad showcase works by young artists and celebrate the diversity of photographic creation. As a forward-looking and innovative promoter of contemporary creativity, the CIRCULATION(S) Festival is a springboard for artists.

From March 13 to May 5, the photographs of Elodie Grethen, a French artist living in Austria, will be exhibited at CENTQUATRE-PARIS. “Tokyo Stories” is a project that explores intimacy and the possibilities of new encounters in Japan. During her stay in Tokyo for several months, Elodie Grethen was confronted with a new system of rules and social norms. In a society where every interaction is defined by etiquette, is there room for intimacy? What form does it take? And what role does Tokyo play in this? The exhibition is open only to professionals.
