Austria musically represented on Europe Day / Embassy Tunis

Online concert AUREUM SAXOPHON QUARTETT on May 9, 2021

The European anthem was intoned by the Aureum Saxophone Quartet on May 9 in Tunis : the Austrian saxophone ensemble offered a successful start of the event series in Tunisia with the Europe music program. The online concert of the quartet was accompanied by a light show, which put the building of the EU delegation in the right light, so to speak. The European idea of diversity and friendship was creatively implemented visually and thus set a sign for the solidity of Europe: Together Stronger – Plus Fort Ensemble.

In Europe, May 9 is considered the birthday of the European Union and therefore Europe Day. Although it is not an official holiday commemorating the historic peace and unity of the EU, Tunisia will present the cultural diversity of the EU and its member states through numerous events. Throughout the month – from May 3 to 31, 2021- virtual programs will take place, which will mainly focus on the commitment of the EU and its member states to youth under the motto “La voix aux jeunes”. Virtual music stages and an online quiz provide the appropriate stage for this.
